What are Approved Providers?
Approved Providers means that the providers on Design Brewers, and who will pitch your projects, have gone through a screening process. While providers come in all shapes and sizes from freelancers to larger studios and creative agencies, all of them are screened to ensure:
- They have a proven body of work for real clients or are promising newcomers with excellent concept work
- Present themselves honestly and work with a professional code of conduct
- That their work is their own, and that they do not employ sweatshops or cheap exploitative labour.
- That the work they create meets a high standard of quality
- That they have the skills and experience they claim to have
This helps to reduce risks and saves you time in hiring talent.
Do I have to use a provider?
While we hope you'll find your perfect fit here, you're not obliged to use any of the providers on Design Brewers.
Are projects screened?
Just like we screen providers to ensure you're getting in touch with great providers, providers expect the same in return. Its a two way street.
Therefore, we screen incoming projects to ensure they are viable, appropriate for our providers, and to route the project to the right providers for you.
We only outright reject projects that are not viable or inappropriate for the services our providers offer and we will always liaise with you if this is the case. Outside of that, we operate a matching service where we offer projects to the best fit providers, and then two project boards where providers can browse and pitch your project if it interests them.
One of the boards is for projects that meet all of our standards checks, the second is for projects that don't quite meet our standards but might be of interest to our providers.
How many projects can I submit?
We have no hard limit on how many projects you can submit, however we do not accept bulk project submissions from agencies or data resellers.
How are projects matched?
We match projects based on a number of factors including:
- Service and Skill requirements
- Provider experience
- Provider location
- Whether providers have work in their portfolio that is relevant to you
We operate a waterfall methodology, where we initially offer projects to the best fit matches and then gradually open the project up to more providers until enough providers have expressed an interest in working with you before closing the project from taking new pitches.
How many providers can pitch my project?
This depends upon the project. Projects that are matched by us, and/or added to the main project board are pitchable by a maximum of 5 providers. Projects that are placed on our secondary board (those which don't meet our stricter requirements) can be pitched by slightly more but we still limit the number of providers to single digit figures.
This prevents you from being bombarded with responses, and keeps our platform to a quality over quantity service.
What contact details can providers see?
You self elect what contact details you want to submit and share with providers.
Therefore, if you want to be contacted by telephone or email, these details will be shown. If you don't want to be contacted by telephone then we will not request nor show your telephone number to providers. We also have a built in messenger/project workroom in the dashboard where you can discuss your project with providers.
Furthermore, our providers agree never to break client privacy terms, this includes contacting you by methods you've delined to share without your permission even if it is publically available (i.e. telephone via your own website). Therefore if any provider does break your privacy requirements, be sure to let us know.
Will my project be listed outside of Design Brewers?
We are a direct to provider platform and do not share, or sell, project details with any 3rd party. Additionally, its against our provider terms of use policy for providers to sell or share project details with other platforms or providers.
What does is cost?
Its free to submit your project and we do not take commission. We make money from the services we offer to providers.
How safe is Design Brewers
Our screening process is thorough which goes a long way to reducing risks and saves you time by putting you in touch with providers who are appropriate for the job.
We are significantly safer than open marketplaces. However, even with the best will in the world, things can go wrong. Even excellent clients and providers can have bad experiences from time to time. Ultimately, you should still do your own due dilligence on providers and be sensible with your privacy preferences.
